Terms of use
InvoiceMyCar is a free tool that helps two private individuals write down the terms of a car sale. Using it means you accept the following.
It is a template, not advice. The wording is written for an ordinary private sale of a car in the United Kingdom. We are not solicitors and this is not legal advice. If your sale is unusual, for example there is finance still owed, the car is a write-off, one party is a business, or the buyer is outside the UK, get advice before you sign anything.
You are responsible for what you enter. The receipt records what the seller and buyer type and sign. We do not check registrations, mileages, ownership or finance. A receipt does not make a false statement true.
Both parties should keep a copy. Save the PDF or the link on the day. We may delete stored receipts after two years and cannot recover a receipt that was never saved or shared.
Availability. The tool is provided free and as-is. We try to keep it working but do not promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not liable for loss arising from its use, to the extent the law allows.
Fair use. Do not use the tool to store anything other than genuine car sale receipts, or to send abusive or misleading content to anyone.
